Our parents have done so much for us over the years. Giving us shelter, food, home, a place to belong, and so much more. They uplift us when we are down, and care for us when we are ill. So many things they do for us for which we can never repay. I know without a doubt my parents have done so many things for me, and my mother has been there for me in so many significant and profound ways. It really is truly the strangest year in memory. And I honestly am hoping this is the only year I will experience like this in a lifetime. Although, I suppose as the world changes and we find ourselves more interconnected, things like this are more likely to happen. For our sake, I just hope that we get ourselves more prepared in the future.
Being knee-deep in the coronavirus craziness finding gifts has definitely become more challenging. Things have changed drastically. Many of the things I might get I cannot. It’s harder to know what things look like without seeing them up close. As much as I appreciate the pictures, it has always been easier finding things my mom might like when I can see the gifts and touch them. But that doesn’t work anymore. And it might not ever be the same again. Instead of going out and finding unique gifts at some interesting shops, I had to peruse the internet and find fun little things that my mom or my daughter’s mom might be interested in for a Mother’s Day Gift.
