Thanksgiving is this week! That is so hard to believe! That means Christmas is just around the corner. We are celebrating Thanksgiving early this year to spend it with family out of town. I always bring the same three things every year! One of them is homemade egg noodles! Let’s be honest, everyone loves a good homemade egg noodle!
Ingredients
2 cups | all purpose flour |
3 | eggs |
1/3 cup | water |
1 tsp. | salt |
here’s how
1 | Combine all ingredients until a nice dough is formed. |
2 | Knead for 5 minutes with your hands or with your dough hook. |
3 | Roll the dough out on a floured surface until desired thickness. |
4 | Using a pizza cutter, cut your dough into desired noodle size. |
5 | Using either a noodle drying rack or dish towels, lay your noodles out to dry. This should take several hours, if you are using dish towels, it will take longer. |
6 | From here you can either freeze your noodles or cook them how you desire. I like to cook mine in a slow cooker or instant pot in chicken broth and some seasoning. You can also boil them on the stove as you would any pasta noodles. |
